The Australian National Footbag Council

The Australian National Footbag Council was formed in 2005 as part of the registering of Ausfootbag as a national organisation overseeing the promotion and development of Footbag as a sport in Australia. The Council consists of 3 officials to administer the organisation, and until 2007 a representative from each State of Australia (where a representative is available).

UPDATE: At the 2007 AGM it was voted to abandon the 'member from each state' arrangement and instead enlist a few of the most active footbaggers in the country to help push the Organisation forward.

It is the role of this group to not only promote the sport itself and encourage new players, but also to ensure professional methods are used when running competitions in Australia, to assist corporations and companies find players for demos and handle any sponsorship and funding matters, and to provide an online meeting place for Australian footbaggers and the general public to discuss important issues and receive news and information about the sport. At least once a year an Annual General Meeting is held (the Australian Championships provides an excellent opportunity) to discuss important issues involving the AusFootbag organisation and the Australian Footbag scene in general. It is also at this meeting that new Council members may be elected. The Ausfootbag organisation has a Reference at Footbag.org which can be found by following this link.

The current National Council membership is as follows:
